Thank you for placing your order online! Every purchase supports the programs of the City of Alexandria. The purchase of Historic
Alexandria merchandise, event tickets and memberships supports the Office of
Historic Alexandria, its divisions, and its mission.

Merchandise
Return/Refund Policy
If
you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, you can return your items
for a refund or exchange. Refunds for items returned within 15 days of the
purchase date will be credited in the full amount (excluding shipping charges)
and with the same form as the original payment type. Any claims for a damaged
order or missing items must be received within two business days of receipt of
package.
When returning your order, please consider the following:
- Items and packaging must be received in new condition
- The original manufacturer's packaging must not be damaged
- Return package must include copy of the sales receipt
Before returning a package you should
contact Customer Service. Please mail your package in
a prepaid, insured, traceable method using the address provided to you by
Customer Service.
Cancellations
If you would like to cancel your order, you can do so provided that the
order has not yet been shipped. If the item you want to cancel has been
shipped, the order cannot be canceled, however, you can return the item for a
refund.
Shipping
All merchandise will be shipped via the U.S.
Postal Service (USPS). Guests will have the choice of Express, Priority or Standard
shipping. Rates will be based on weight and size of items, as well as the shipping
location.
Event Registration
For all events, a PDF ticket will be sent to
your registered email. Unless noted, this will be your "ticket" and your name
will appear on the event registration list held at the museum door.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
All sales are final for any event ticket or program reservation.
While we do not offer refunds, if you or a person in your
group can not attend, you are welcome to transfer to another person. We
prefer you call in advance to change the name, but it can also be done during
check in. Due to space restrictions, any last minute additions to your
group must be confirmed before you arrive.
Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, certain events may be
cancelled. This decision will be made by noon the day before the event.
Each person registered will be notified by email and you can also check the
City's online calendar for closures and cancellations. Every effort will be
made to reschedule an event; however, if a suitable date cannot be found, you
will receive a full refund.
Tavern
Overnights: If you cannot attend due to
weather but the Tavern Overnight is not cancelled, the Museum will make every
effort to reschedule your troop and you will receive all but a $25
(registration fee) refund if we are unable to find a suitable date for your
group.
Additional Information
- In accordance with state law, applicable sales tax
will be added to orders shipped to addresses in Virginia. If you are ordering
for a tax-exempt Virginia institution, please email or fax your order along
with your sales-tax exemption certificate to Customer Service.
- U.S. institutions (museums, libraries, etc.) may
submit a Purchase Order to Customer Services via email or fax.
- If you would like to order items for resale, please
contact Customer Service for wholesale pricing and ordering information.
Museum Member Discounts
Museum membership entitles you to a discount
on all Historic Alexandria merchandise online (excludes memberships, donations,
and some event tickets). To redeem, log into your customer profile and the
discounts will be applied at check out. You must have an active membership in
the system for this to apply.
